sigh bummer

<Jan 08 2004>

I thought for sure this xanga thing was over. I cant believe the driven force of updating this thing is a tragedy...

Sigh¡K

I was organizing my CD hanger for the new quarter last night and I found that BB bit on one, the one the rare one the most valuable one¡K I had an accident before the beginning of the winter break. I took the car to the auto shop during the break so I took out the CD hanger. In it there was Celine Dion ¡§ALL THE WAY¡K A Decade Of Song¡¨, Mariah Carey ¡§#1¡¦s¡¨, 4-5 HK CDs, and the game CD ¡§Super Robot War £\ Original Sound Track & Arrange¡¨. So I was doing this and doing that and I suddenly remembered to prepare the CD hanger. As I went through the CDs I suddenly noticed that the SRW one had a scratch!!! As a basic instinct of a collector I immediately traced back my memory tried to remember when I scratched it, but nothing. As I carefully studied the scratch I realized it was BB!!! She must have done this when I let her ran in my room in her play session!!! ARGH!!! As a chin BB did bite on stuff to explore, but she was never a big chewer, unlike Fin-Fin. So I let my guard down when she was in my room¡K I didn¡¦t even know when she bit on it¡K

I found that game CD in a used CD store in Little Tokyo. SRW was one of my fav games and I had always wanted one of the soundtracks. I was so surprised when I discovered that CD in a pile. It was cheap too (Brand new one could be up to 30+, this used one was mark 10-). I kept all, I mean ALL, of my game related stuff in the mint-est condition and I couldn¡¦t believe it was my loved one that hurt me the most¡K I mean of all the 7+ CDs, she chose the one, THE one the Japanese one the rare one the most valuable one¡K T_T Y_Y V_V

For sure BB is my offspring¡K sigh

<22/9>

I can still find the nasty poop around the cage, but they smell less nasty (not fresh enough?) and are not as much as last night. I check back the Chins and & Quills forum and some1 posted that such kind of poop may indicate a intestinal, even bleeding, problem. AIYA. Why on earth did I think flakes were okay treat? I didn¡¦t notice any problem until now, so I don¡¦t think flakes is to blame. But I will giving them. Well I don¡¦t think my babies are having intestinal bleeding problem but the wrong stuff I have been giving them. So today I decide not to feed them any treats (raisin only from now on!) To avoid chewing the wrong stuff, I won¡¦t let them out until poops go back normal. It is so hard not to feed them treats, especially when I am trying to tame them.

Now that I am calmer about the situation, I start to remember that Fin Fin¡¦s poop has been look like this ever since I got them. It¡¦s just that I never put one close to my nose. And besides Fin Fin looks nothing different than before, so I am less worry now. However I will keep monitoring him since this nasty poop of his is different than what all documents described. Also I figure out their peeing habit. After they peed in the SPA house or the food bowl, I normally would throw all the stuff away and rinse the containers inside out. But they started to pissed me off because they kept peeing in the wrong place and this wasted a lot of food/bath dust. Tonight a thought suddenly crossed my mind. They are animals! They might use their pee to mark their territories/properties. Every time I washed the containers I wiped out their odor as well! So tonight I only threw away the peed food w/o rinse their meal bowl, and I let them peed inside an empty bath house, cleaned the urine, and then put in the bath dust. I hope letting them leave ¡§pee marks¡¨ can stop them from peeing to their food or the precious bath dust.

Ordinary day.

I figured out BB missed coming out, running around and having fun, so I put the exercise ball close and she immediately responded. I just let her run around the house freely. She had so much fun. When I finally finished refilling my cartridge, I opened the exercise ball and hold her in my arms. She fought a little bit at the beginning, but after I purposely hold her close to my heart and fondled her, she became calmer and got the idea that I was not gonna feed her any nasty med+juice. Then I took her out to the backyard to smell some fresh chilling air. When I put her back to the cage after 1/2 hr, she was so tired and had to lie down w/ her signature ¡§orgasm-tired¡¨ look

<21/9>

Morning = cage cleaning. For some reason they were SO excited when I put them in the sub-cage. I don¡¦t know how to tell you but I know they are begging to come out and run around the dinning room. So I opened the cage and put the exercise ball to let one of them crawl in. Suddenly Fin Fin sneaked out and almost ran outside to the backyard! OMG! Luckily I was fast enough to catch his tail and put him back. If he did escaped to the backyard there would be no guarantee I could catch him. While I let the cage to dry off under the sun and got some ultra violet germ killing, I cleaned the fridge inside out as I promised at the in beginning of the summer vacation. While I was doing so I rotated them from ball to cage. They were so happy and ran all around the room. It was kinda touching when they ran to my legs when I was wiping the fridge. I guess this is what having a pet about.

When I visited my babies tonight I suddenly smelled a very nasty odor. I thought it was just their pee so I didn¡¦t pay much attention. So I talked to them a little bit, let them smell my hands (part of the taming process), fed them some treat raisins. When I was about to leave I suddenly got this erge of curiosity of smelling their poop. (it sounds nasty but from what I read they should smell nothing, so I really want to prove that by using my self as the test object) I picked up one and put smell. OMG. This one was WRONG. It was soft, looked a little brown/red, and smell NASTY. I knew something was wrong because some other poop looked green and smell-less, as described in many chin FAQs. I immediately posted a couple threads on http://www.chins-n-quills.com forum hoping for some opinion/advice. The gut feeling I had was the frosted cornflakes I had been feeding as treats. So I surfed around and found that corns supposedly were not good for chins. OMG what have I done? I was so concern about spoiling them w/ treats and totally forgot about the slogan ¡§What chins like =/= what¡¦s good for them.¡¨ The bigger problem is that I honestly don¡¦t know who is pooping wrong. I found the nasty poop from Fin Fin¡¦s favorite ¡§balcony¡¨ spot, but this is inconclusive. I hope this is just a diet problem or they chewed on something they are not supposed to chew when they were out last night¡K.
